Description of magnesia-carbon bricks:

Magnesia-carbon bricks effectively utilize the strong resistance to slag erosion of magnesia sand and the high thermal conductivity and low expansibility of carbon, making up for the biggest drawback of poor resistance to spalling of magnesia sand raw materials. It has excellent high-temperature resistance, strong slag resistance, good thermal shock resistance and low high-temperature creep rate.
Magnesia-carbon bricks are made from high-purity magnesium powder, carbon materials (including graphite), and tar pitch or resin. After the ingredients are mixed and shaped, they are then baked at around 300°C or above 1000°C.

Application fields of magnesia-carbon bricks:

It is mainly used for the inner lining and belt holes of BOF, hot spots on the walls of high-power electric furnaces, as well as the inner lining of LF and slag lines of ladles.
